What is ITR-V and how do I verify my income tax return?

Methods: (1) Aadhaar OTP — instant, most common. (2) Bank EVC (Electronic Verification Code) via net banking. (3) DMAT account EVC. (4) DSC — required for companies and audited entities. (5) Physical ITR-V sent to CPC Bengaluru via Speed Post within 30 days (not recommended — slow). Once verified, the ITR status changes to 'Verified' and CPC begins processing.
